Last summer, my daughter called me announcing she was going to get a puppy, off of Craigs list of all places. (The people told her he was a Husky.) I tried to dissuade her (she was a full time student at Temple and working part time) explaining a puppy required far more time than she realized. Needless to say, she did not listen and brought him home. I can understand why. He was 12 weeks or less at the time. The conditions he was living in were filthy, his coat was matted with feces and stained with urine. He was starving since the larger dog he shared space with ate all the food. His coat was dry as straw. He was painfully shy and clearly had been abused. To this day he is terrified of small children. Some people should never be allowed to have dogs.
She learned very quickly though, keeping him was another matter entirely. She just did not have the time and she lived in a small apartment. Of course, we ended up with him.
I cannot say Im sorry it worked out this way. Hugo has turned out to be the best dog we ever had. Hes actually a Great Pyrenees mix (possibly a Husky) though my vet thinks he might be full Pyrenees with show flaws, and was sold as a pet. He has the double dew claws, and all the traits of the Pyrenees breed. Personally, I dont care what he is. Yes, he sheds. Yes, there is ALWAYS bits and pieces of Hugo everywhere, no matter how often I vacuum the floors. And it all just makes me smile. I do not think I have ever loved an animal more than Hugo. Save for Harry, my cat, of course. (I still think Harry can read and understand English perfectly, you never know with cats!) What blows my mind the most about him, is how damn smart he is, the way he actually thinks for himself.
So there you have it, one of the things that keeps me so occupied. We walk all over this mountain everyday. Hugo was one year old in May. It is my sincere hope, his life will be remarkably long.
He has pieces of a stick that he was playing with on his coat, lol. He was kind enough to pose for me. I thought it was about time I shared some pics of him. Hope you enjoy! Back to work for me.
he is a beautiful dog,hon and i hope he brings alot of love to you and your family, and of course you bring him alot of love,he's looks like a gently giant, your so lucky to have him in your life, and i do agree that certain people shouldnt have dogs or any other animals.

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
